Rebecca Krauss, L.Ac, MSAOM, MQP is a nationally board certified and state licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and medical qi gong practitioner. She has studied at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California and the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Colorado. She strives to inspire her patients by empowering them with knowledge while facilitating healing through integrative holistic modalities. Supported by a background in psychology she believes the best way to heal is by nourishing and harmonizing the mind body connection and targeting the root of illness.
Rebecca has been practicing Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong for over a decade with the guidance of Dr. Suzanne Friedman,L.Ac, D.M.Q. (china) as her main teacher and inspiration. She has trained and worked throughout the US, India, Europe and Southern Africa. Her non-profit work has included performing acupuncture treatments and diagnosis at a free-clinic in an extremely poor rural area of India. This was an extremely challenging environment where the patient demand was up to 90 patients a day and medical supplies were very limited. The clinic (run by an organization called AIAN) provides treatment for the local residents who are greatly in need of health care.
Rebecca is also a certified AcroYoga Teacher (Yoga/ Acrobatics/ Thai Massage), Thai Bodyworker and Medical Qi Gong practitioner (Taoist Energy Healing). She has been involved in acrobatics, gymnastics, and yoga for 20 years and has been involved in the AcroYoga community since the first class in 2004. Combining these practices with Thai and intuitive bodywork lets her infuse extreme body awareness with movement and play creating a fun and safe environment to explore in.
Chinese Medicine works within a holistic healing paradigm. Although, specializing in women’s health, stress reduction and lifestyle disease, she believes no illness can be treated in isolation. Treating the whole individual is integral to creating long term health and happiness.
Rebecca loves her daily practice of GuiGen QI Gong especially when she gets to practice while wearing her 1 year old in her baby carrier.
